dry/ mat like hair?

By , January 30, 2011 6:52 pm

hi guys, just regarding my hair which is actually quite curly, i use normal shampoo and conditioner to it and over time no idea how my hair has gotten very dry and the ends are lacking moisture and have a mat/dead look to them like they are anything but lively. Also i’ve been losing a lot of hair (when i brush) and now my hair has also begun to thin out quite a lot, is there anything you guys can suggest, I’ve been drinking apple cider vinegar i drank an entire glass today (took a lot of strength) but other than this i haven’t tried anything else and i don’t use any chemicals in my hair except for the shampoo, so never have dyed it and i probably straighten my hair every 3-4 weeks or so, nothing serious. . ok thanks, plz help guys! styling types for curly hair would be good too, thanks again =]

azn hair. how do i keep it looking shiny and not dry?

By , January 30, 2011 3:16 pm

im 14 and azn (philippino). everytime i take a shower my hair goes all wet ofcourse and after like 1 hour or so. . it goes really dry and that’s the time i’m at school and when i go home which is about 6 hours later. after 2 hours that i’m at home. . that’s when the oil in my hair starts building up , making my hair shiny and silky. when i’m at school my hair is all frizzy but still staight though, i have straight hair btw like those chinese people with straight hair but mine goes kinda wavy when i don’t brush it after i take a shower. i have a fringe that come from the side of my head and covers my forhead and sometimes that hair on my face goes a bit frizzy and it’s starting to piss me off. so tell me what i should do to make it not frizzy especially in the morning after i take a shower.

oh and is it true that blowdrying makes your hair dead/damaged, i don’t do anything to my hair but shampoo & condition it. i also use a conditioner that i must only use once a wekk btw. thankyou ^^v

could someone please help, posted 3 times :((?

Im prelightening my hair, I want to put a further dye over that (caramel blonde) do I condition inbetween?
Like do I condition (with the treatment conditioner that comes with all hair dye) after I take the pre-lightener off or do I just wash that out dry it then put the next caramel blonde I want in? It doesn’t give instructions on the packet about people dyeing afterwards even though it says it does SO CONFUSED! Im going from a brown to light brown colour to caramel blonde :) ) PLEASE HELP ME ASAP AS I WANT TO DO THIS TONIGHT!!!!

How to get rid of burning smell after you straighten your hair?

By , January 30, 2011 8:04 am

HI ALL!! Does anyone else have this problem? I have use strays and creams to protect my hair when straightening and even stray perfume on it after i finish but it still smells like burnt hair!! I have very thick hair (and it curls quite alot) so i need the straighten on HIGH or it doesnt work prob. . . I always buy shampoo and conditioner that smells really nice but as soon as i straighten it the smell is gone!!
What can i do to stop my hair smelling burnt?? (dont say stop straightening!!!)

My temp setting is usually on 200
And it is an expensive straighter – it works really well its just the smell i dont like! :) )))

First time shaving my legs, what do I need to know?

By , January 30, 2011 4:28 am

Just so you know: I’m thirteen, going on fourteen in a few months. I have dry skin.

I’ve never shaved my legs before, I always had them waxed. I’m in a bit of a rush and I don’t have any extra money on hand right now for waxing. I’m going to a pool party on Friday (two days away), so I guess I have no choice but to shave. Luckily, my mom bought me a new razor (Gilette for Women – Sensor Excel), but no shaving cream. Lol. They said that conditioner makes a good alternative. Are there any other substitues for shaving cream you recommend?
Also, what do I need to remember since it’s my first time shaving my legs? Does anyone else have this razor? Is it nice?

Sorry for all the questions. :) I look forward to your helpful answers!
President Bush – if you have nothing helpful to say, then I suggest you not answer. If you were trying for a humorous answer, perhaps you’d like to go check out the Jokes and Riddles section.
I have no time to buy Nair or hair removal creams, and no money for waxing, so shaving is my only option right now.
Believe me, if I had the money, I’d be on my way to the salon now.

what heat protectant should i use?

By , January 30, 2011 12:52 am

i want one that you can buy in australia (not online)
and that works well, but isn’t overly-expensive.
i also want to know if i can use heat protectant on my extensions (they are thermofibre synthetic ones, so you can use 200-230 degree heat on them)
coz i want to keep them nice, and if i can use the same for my hair and the extensions.

also what does leave in conditioner do?
would this help protect against the heat.
coz i have a pantene one, and its a spray,
so i figured it might be better, coz its light.
and when i wash my extensions, will they become less silky?

thanks :)
help with my other extension question?

frizzy hair because of straightening it. ?

By , January 29, 2011 9:16 pm

My natural hair is wavey-ish,and frizzy.
I use the Remington S-2004 hair straightner.
I straighten my hair like every day. . . . . sometimes ill wear it up in a messy bun. but i mostly wear it straight. It straightens my hair and keeps it Straight, but my hair usually is frizzy, and dry. (feels like barbie hair) I guess because of straightning it.

is there anything i can do,or put in my hair that will help control the frizzy-ness, but not make it greasy?
btw: i use herbal essences dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner.

How to get frizz-free waves?

By , January 29, 2011 5:40 pm

I have naturally wavy hair, that tends to frizz up when it dries. I use Sunsilk “De-Frizzing” shampoo and conditioner, I even have a gel and cream that I scrunch into my hair after a shower. But after my hair dries, it is still frizzy! I really want soft and sculpted waves, that aren’t crunchy, puffy, or frizzy. I’m not necessarily looking for other products to use, but any tips, or things I can do with my hair to get my desired look? (I am trying to avoid curling irons and rollers if possible. )

Thank you!
P. S. Does putting it in a tight bun help??
