Comments (6) I just got the top of my ear pierced. And I go back to school on Monday, and I have swimming for sport every Thursday. They say you can’t swim for the first 8 weeks of getting it pierced, but I can’t change sport and the school won’t let me not swim. So, anyone got any idea of what the worst can happen if I go swimming in less than a week of getting my ear pierced?
I’m 15 and I want to get my cartilage pierced.
I just wanted to know, from people’s real life experiences, how long the swelling in new tongue piercings has taken to go down. Also, are there any side effects to drinking alcohol in the first few days of healing? I’ve read numerous articles about these things, but they’re quite conflicting ><

10 months ago I had my navel pierced, but the lady pierced it crooked/lop-sided.
I want to get it re pierced straight, so if take out the belly-bar, and leave it open for however many months – will it close up enough, for me to re pierce?
Is it too late for it to close up enough to be repierced?
Well, my girlfriend got this belly button piercing without telling me. I absolutely hate them, but don’t want to be mean to her face. . Any ideas how to tell her? I am not lieing behind her back either.

I am 14. . . the only other piercings I have are my ear lobes, which i got on my 5th Birthday
I want a cartilage piercing because I think they are cute.
I am not looking for something that i want to show off to get attention, I like them personally.
I mean I know injection needles are for injection and piercing needles are for piercing. But my friend’s mom works at a doctor office and she took an injection needle(one without a syringe and hadn’t been used) and pierced her lip with it and hasn’t had any problems she said it felt the same as using a piercing needle so I was curious is there a real difference besides the name and sizes. .
i want both a nose and a naval piercing, and i was just wondering, how long will it take to heal if i am a slow-ish healer? i know you can’t give me an exact answer, but a guess would be great
also, how much do they hurt?

I just graduated from HS but im 17. . my moms okay with me getting my nose pierced with a stud as a grad present but my dad is against it bc he thinks i’ll regret it in the long run bc it wont close. Ive talked to a few people who have all said theirs closed.
Will the hole close if i take it out in the future?
