Hi. I’m thinking of getting my belly button pierced by a profession. I’d just like to know:

Does it hurt very badly while getting it pierced?

Also some tips and advice for before and after getting my belly button pierced, (how to reduce pain afterwards, how to avoid possible infection, etc. )

And lastly, what coloured belly piercings do you like?

Please tell me the specific location, since I’ve heard a million times from people that go to “East Village” or whatever and I could never find magnetic earrings there or anywhere else in NYC. I saw them at H&M in Spring 2007 I think, but they never had those again.

to answer your questions-

my clothes never get stuck to them so thats never really been a problem.

yeah, i use sea salt and hot water to clean them, i also use anti-bacterial sprays and peroxide.

i suppose the bars a surface bar? im not too sure.

oh and yessss, they hurt quite alot but it was worth it.

I got my breasts enhanced 3 years ago. Unfortunately, I have lost almost all feeling in my nipples and areas around my breasts. I have heard from many people that piercing the nipple can help enhance the sensitivity of the nipple. Had I known my sensitivity would almost completely go away I would not have gotten surgery. I really have nothing to lose at this point in terms of sensitivity. My question is, do guys get turned off at the sight or fact of a woman having pierced nipples??

Hi i have a microdermal on my face (teardrop area[cheekbone]) for 3 weeks and its healed fine,

i was just wondering, is a microdermal suppose to be 100% flat on ur face?, because mine pops out on the bottom about 1mm or half a mm? or is it just my face structure?

I’m not really sure I want to keep my piercings in but I’ve had them so long now that I’m afraid of what I’ll look like without them in.

Lately people have been treating me like I’m a child and irresponsible just because of the way I look. I’m absolutely tired of it. I need a change but should I be going for the piercings? I love them, but I don’t. It’s very hard to explain. I have snakebites and a bridge.
Yes, I’m sure it’s about the way I look because my own mother said, and I quote, “you look like a hooligan. what are people going to think about you? you’re almost 19. ”

People piss me off lol.

I know a ton of people that have the their ear cartilage pierced, and they all say something along the lines of “It really wasn’t that bad. Definitely bearable. ” Yet, when I see people ask about industrial piercings, they go “OH GOD. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE. ”

Well, maybe not that extreme, but (I hope) you know what I mean. Why is it so painful? I mean, I get that it’s two holes, and that the second one will hurt more than the first, but, if the first wasn’t that bad, why would the second one be so terrible? When people say it’s a very painful piercing, are they usually referring to the healing process rather than the piercing itself? Because I’ve heard that, in a lot of cases, healing is more painful than piercing.

Also, I know that pain depends on the person, but it seems to be the consensus that, if you’re afraid of pain, you might not want to get an industrial piercing.
ALSO also, I’m not planning on getting one or anything. I’m just curious. Don’t answer “Just get it. ”

I’m going to be getting another piercing soon and I need some advice on what would look good or not.

I already have a lip piercing and my ears. I want a facial piercing, so I don’t want another part of my ear pierced. I have a few suggestions but I’m not sure if they would look good.
Cheek piercing
Monroe
Nose
Other side of my lip (Snakebites)
Septum
Tongue

I have a round face and my cheeks are a little chubby. Please no rude comments or comments saying something like “Piercings are disgusting!”
Your only wasting your time.

I had 3 vertical lip piercings (piercings up through my lip) and recently they’ve all been getting infected one by one. It started with my left piercing which I took out due to swelling. Then the middle one got the same thing but I changed the bar to a longer one and it passed but now my right one is infected, pussing, and swollen and I’m wondering why the hell this keeps happening. I clean them 3 times a day when they start showing signs of infection.
This one is difficult to change over. Usually when I take it out I can’t get it back in without hurting it so any ideas on how to fix it and why this keeps happening???
