How can I keep my hair straight after straightening it?

By , April 15, 2010 9:46 pm

I have a chi straighter, and it works great at first, and it looks good for about an hour, but two hours later, my hair is a mess! Can anyone tell me how to keep it from not staying straight? Thanks.

I have the same problem. Use a light, flexible hair spray, but don’t over do it. Works for me!

    Hope this helped!

Do not get it wet or expose it to moisture.

I have the same problem. my hair is naturally curly and humidity makes it curl after I straighten it. I straighten it more in the winter or when it’s not raining and it will stay longer. also I brush it a lot and use a little hairspray. just make sure you straighten all the layers not just the top one and it will stay longer. hope this helps! you could also try scrunching your hair with a gel. that’s what I do when it’s humid :-)

Use a dehumidifying spray, as it stops moisture in the air from ruining the straightening. Lee Stafford does one. . . but lots of other brands do too.

Atternatively, go get your hair permanently straightened in a salon. The YUKO system is a good one. . . it is expensive and takes about 4-5 hours but its worth it!!
