How do you get rid of the brassy look from blond hair?

By , August 13, 2010 1:09 pm

I’ve been dying my hair for some time now and I’ve had my share of problems. I can’t put certain colours in my hair and no matter what colour my stylist uses, I always have very distinctive blond highlights. My problem is that about 3 weeks after getting it done, it turns very yellow and brassy? Anyone have any solutions to my hair dilema???

    You dye it brown.

I like to use Sheer Blonde by John Frieda. It’s about $5 a bottle, depending on the store. It keeps the golden hues in my hair. It also keeps it very shiny and soft. Plus, it smells good!! You may also try lemon juice or Sun-In.

Either use a better color or dye it another color. My roots use to look really brassy then I highlighted them. Now they look fine.

Go to a Colorist, otherwise gets worse.

Try not dying your hair for a while or try another brand of hair dye.

Use Paul Mitchell color shampoo for Platinum Blonde.
Where I live, it can only be bought at a hair salon.
I use it on mine to get the red and brass color out of my blonde highlights. It works for me :)
