A question about Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner?
I have naturally brown hair (most of it has grown out) but there is still some red in it because of dye that I used a few years ago. Some people say that if I use brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner, that it will cover up most of the red, but some people say it will bring out the red some more.
Could you please help me out here? Thanks.
I guess it depends on your hair. I am not really sure about this because I have never used this hair product before.
Try it out, that’s the only way you can find out, or ask your hair stylist about it.
Not all products work for everyone.
it will bring out every shade of color in your hair, and make it shine. it is an absolutely amazing shampoo! and it smells great!
As far as I know, it isn’t a color depositing shampoo so it won’t cover anything, it just brings out the color more. So yes, the red may show up a bit. If you’re trying to cover it, you need a color depositing shampoo or conditioner. I used to use a brown color depositing conditioner by Biolage, and when I had red hair, I used a red color depositing shampoo by Paul Mitchell. If you’re looking to cover the red, find a color depositing formula.
You still have red in your hair form a few years ago?! Shouldn’t you have gone to a hairstylist to get it dyed?
Brilliant Brunette should show off your natural highlights and even red undertones that me be lingering. It won’t make your hair look red by any means it will just add dimension. You might want to get a Clarifying Shampoo to alternate with the Brilliant Brunette because it does leave some residue if used daily. Hope this helps!
Get the Brilliant Brunette GLAZE. If you want to cover up the red. Shampoo, and condition your hair, then put in the Glaze and leave it in for about 15 – 20 minutes, then rinse. Eventually the red won’t be noticeable. I went throught the exact same thing. =)
(The glaze gradually dyes your hair. , and although it isn’t permanent, it should completely get rid of the red in your hair)
