Honestly, getting it done at a salon would be your best bet.
However, if you want to try at home snip a small lock of your hair and dye it the colour of your choice.
Do this because when trying to go a lighter shade your hair may go.
-Green
-Orange
-Pink
-May just stay the same
-etc
You don’t need to get two different dyes. Just don’t be too upset if it doesn’t work out.
Don’t just go buy dye at the drugstore or Tops or anything, I’m a hairstylist and know for a fact it can really damage your hair!
it depends how light you cant to go, there are color charts, and hair colors range from 1 to ten, ten being the lightest. If you’ve never colored you’re hair before then you can color it up to four shades lighter with just color , which won’t be too expensive even at a salon, if you’re looking to go a lot lighter then you’re going to have to bleach it which can be damaging and a bit pricey. Try doing some light brown highlights it makes your hair color lighter and gives it dimension and depending on how many you get, it can be pretty cheap, around 30 bucks.
you can dye the hair with light brown dye.
if you want to do it naturally, mix fresh lemon juice with conditioner and sit in the sun.
the longer you stay the lighter the hair will be.
make sure to mix the lemon juice with conditioner because the high acidic lever of the lemon juice can damage your hair.
heavens no! okay pick the color that u want. then when u get the color ur going to see bottles that say 10 volume 20 volume 30 volume etc. depending on how much lighter u want to go u will need a higher number of developer. i think the highest a person can buy when their not at a professional store is a 40. a 10 devoloper will not work for u -that is for ppl going darker. so go higher. but the higher u go the more damaged ur hair will be. but since ur not dying it blonde it shouldnt be that damaged. get a blue base so ur hair doesnt turn orange. and ash base will make ur hair green
Please please PLEASE, just go to a salon and save yourself the trouble. The only time store-bought color looks exactly the same as it does on the package is when you have WHITE hair. . . so you really don’t know what you are working with. And too much experimentation can leave your hair fried. Besides, your hair stylist will know what color best suits your skin tone, eyebrow color, etc.
If your hair is really dark, than it will go orange when you lighten it. If you want it a medium-light brown, you can do it with hair color, but it needs to have a little bit of violet or blue in it to prevent the hair from turning a brassy brown & you need to have the right developer – the level depends on how many shades lighter you’re going. If you want to go blonde you will have to use bleach, & then it may need to be toned with a semi permanent hair color. I always recommend going to a salon when going lighter because it’s harder to go lighter than darker. There’s a lot more color knowledge that’s needed.
I think that is one of the such a lot vital information for me. And i’m glad reading your article. However should remark on few general things, The website taste is great, the articles is really excellent : D. Good activity, cheers

Dont do blonde dye it might turn your hair an orangy color
Go to a salon. Don’t ever try to go lighter on your own. When you lighten your hair it can do a number of different things, like the first girl said.
Go to a salon, leave it to the professionals. That way you will have a great result, and minimal (if any) damage.
You can go from dark to light brown quite easily with special haircolors for dark hair that will lighten without going brassy or orange.
Hope This Helps.
Good-Luck!!
