my hair was dyed black for many years. now my hair has been dyed twice to get a medium to light brown with blonde foils. now if i just got a blonde hair dye from supermarket would it go blonde or will it go orange or something? thanks.

   Hair color does not lift hair color. You would have to bleach it to achieve the level of blonde you want.

   it might turn orange it depends on the volume of the bleach i had very very dark brown hair and then dyed it bleach blonde it turned pink so you really have to be careful with bleach because you can always dye your hair again but if your hairs not strong enough it will dry out bad
