I would try a clarifying shampoo, Pantene makes a great one. It helps to get residue out and I know it kinda dries my hair, maybe it will work for you.

I’d probably have to say just shower everyday.
And definitely lather your hair a lot with the shampoo, like rub straight at the root with the shampoo along with the rest of your hair. You might just not be shampooing it enough (just don’t over-apply, just make sure you’re shampooing ALL of your hair).

I had the same problem, but I was put on Accutane a few months ago and it took away the oils so my hair is a bit drier (like, not splitting dry but I can go 5 days without a shower if I feel like it, and I have naturally dark brown hair which makes it most noticeable).

Pretty much any shampoo for oily hair. If your hair is really bad, make sure to shampoo twice when you shower. . . . . . “lather, rinse, repeat”
