Is face primers good ways to help keep makeup stay on ?
The problem is I am getting some makeup some expencive but some are really cheap brands such as BYS and ELF , so im guessing that because of they are cheap they will not be very good quality. I know that you can wet the eyeshadow that you put on before and stuff but do face primers help if not what do you reccomend. and what are your experiences with BYS. thanks (:

Primer is key.
Foundation Primer and EyeShadow Primer. It helps the makeup stick and not slide everywhere.
I have heard rave reviews about Urban Decay Primer potion (for eyes), but there are other good ones like the Mary Kay Eyeshadow Primer (it’s cheaper too).
Also just general face moisturisers and facial moose will do the trick!
Don’t know about face primer, but I do use eye primer by Mary Kay. It is the only way that I can keep any eyeshadow on, no matter how expensive or cheap it is, even if I do wet it first.
face primer is key for long lasting makeup. my two favorite are benefit and gosh price ranges from £20-£30. you always see better results when you splash out on good makeup. if your not willing to splash out use moisturiser but make sure its not too oily.
Primers for your foundation and eye shadows do make your makeup last but if your on a budget like me I suggest using a pressed powder lightly over your foundation because that makes it seal or you can also use Monistat Chaffing cream on your face before you apply your foundation and that makes it last! I made my own eyeshadow primer out of liquid foundation, concealer and moisturizer and my eyeshadow doesn’t crease and last all day you should watch some youtube tutorials and they will help you out alot!

Too faced is just as good.
i use bare essentials makeup and they have a primer and WOW. . . . when i use the primer with their makeup. . . flawless. . . and i even have spots and blemishes and dry skin!
Of course. Foundation primers keep it lasting longer and it smooths out your skin for a good coverage from your foundation. Primers for eyeshadow enhance the colors, texture, and prevent creasing.
A good foundation primer will be very helpful in the way your foundation applies to your skin and most help prolong the wear (some actually do not).
A good one to invest in is the Make Up Forever HD Primer ($32 for full sized or $15 for travel sized – at Sephora. com). I use the original (white – but it’s colorless when applied), but they also have color correcting primers that work just as well.
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is pretty popular, but I prefer the Make Up Forever Primer over the Smashbox one.
Another really good product to invest in is an eyeshadow primer. Try Too Faced Shadow Insurance ($18 at Sephora. com). It will make your shadows appear vivid and last all day. It is now one of my top 3 products I must always have. Once you use a shadow primer you’ll wonder how you applied makeup without it!
Please do not use e. l. f. primers. They’re really bad.

Just because the price tag is cheap, doesn’t mean the product quality is gonna be cheap.
A good face primer is Urban Decay primer potion. You can get it at Sephora. It usually runs between $17-23 but is totally worth it!
I don’t know much about BYS. Honestly, I’ve never used it.
I think that a good primer will definately help your foundation last longer! Also setting it with loose powder will be a big help as well.
Just because make up is cheap doesn’t mean it’s not good. ELF is extremely wonderful and I enjoy everything I get from there. The eyeliner is AMAZING! Face primers help the make up stay on your face all day instead of letting it fade or sweat off. It’s definitely something to look into if you’re having a problem with your make up. I use the Sephora brand face primer and I adore it along with Urban Decay Primer Potion ($17) for my eyeshadow and I absolutely LOVE that. My face stays fresh all day and my make up doesn’t budge all day.

primer is full of ferrel stuff. i saw this makeup primer and it had cranes bill in it. . yes CRANES BILL
A cosmetician told me that a face primer protects your pores from filling up with makeup. I don’t think it actually keeps your makeup on longer. Mac is a really good brand for makeup. I have never tried the ones you are talking about. Good luck!
ps. try to get a long wearing/water resistant makeup, it will stay on longer
