youre either using too much foundation or moisturizer. trying using a smaller amount, if you use a alot because you need more coverage, try changing your foundation to one that offers better coverage versus one thats thinner.

it also depends on if your face is oily or dry. if your face is oily you should consider carrying oil absorbent wipes with you. you just dab them onto your face and it doesnt smudge your makeup.

    hope i helped:)

The trick is to wear less makeup. Wear just enough that it doesn’t crack.

If you are concealing a blemish try disguising it rather than hiding it totally. If no blemish then simply use less.

Most guys prefer a girl without a load of makeup. But a well made up face can be lovely and appear not to have ANY.

If it smudges then you have too much on. IMHO

Additional: So many girls THINK they need more! I saw a girl the other day that made me wonder if she was wearing a mask! So sad – her bone structure was lovely. As a photographer I shot many gilrs and for some lighting you need more – but often the best results were girls who learned to use least! Please try. . . take soem pics; ask a couple of male pals to say what they like more with /without. You might get a pleasant suprise.

Change to another makeup that does not have such a dry, cakey finish.

Edit: You simply have not tried enough to find a better makeup. I’ve worked in the beauty business for 14 yrs and I promise you, there IS a better makeup for you than the one you are trying to use. Get some professional consults from different cosmetic lines so you can try before buying.

The cracking is happening because the finish of the makeup is NOT COMPATIBLE with your skin type and moisture level. So it is NOT perfect looking and is NOT the right makeup. You have to strike the right combination of moisture, type of foundation, and the powder used to set it.

I have lines and my skin looks flawless with Cover Girl base, a good moisturizer made for decreasing lines, and a light airy powder for setting. I also use mineral makeup with great success – both on top of liquid base, and alone.

You may also need to look at your skin care regimen. Use a GOOD line that is for anti aging and wrinkle control.

Here’s a trick, after applying makeup, take a Q-Tip and swipe the Q-Tip over all your fine lines, it will take the makeup out of the creases for a more natural look and will stop the makeup from emphasizing your lines. . . do this around problem areas like your mouth/smile lines, also, around eyes if you have fine lines/crows feet. Forehead and furrow lines too. I do this after fine misting my face with fresh warm water, let mist dry/set then use the Q-Tip. . just in creases, you’ll love the look, and this trick. . Interested in knowing if this helped you. . email me if you wish. Good Luck !
    :)
