Hair spray on the face to make makeup stay?!?
I’ve never tried it, but I heard it works? Does anyone know if it does? Wouldn’t your face be like sticky or hard or something?

I have never heard of doing that but I wouldn’t recommend it. All of that hairspray on your face will make it break out. It will also make your skin shiny when it dries, not to mention possibly getting it in your eyes. Ouch!!!
That is what makeup primers are for. Don’t use hairspray, that is stupid and might mess up your skin like make you break out or something. Have a professional help you; tell them what you’re looking for and they will recommend primers and bases to you.
maybe stick to primers and translousant powders. . .
No, don’t use hairspray on your face as it isn’t meant to be sprayed on the skin. Instead, use a makeup primer which you can find at your local drugstore. This will help your makeup stay on all through the day.
Huh!?
I’ve NEVER heard of it. . . & don’t recommend it. .
It’s for hair. . not for the fragile skin on face.
If you want to make your make up stay for longer hours. . try the following tips. .
Despite of the skin type you have, if you want your make up to stay longer you should apply a primer to your face & around the eyes. It makes a perfect base for the make up applied to the face.

FOUNDATION
============
Choose a good foundation according to the skin type.
Most of the time foundations come specially made for different skin types such as for oily skin, combination skin, normal skin or dry skin.
If they don’t state anything use the regular rules as below;
for oily skin – mineral foundation/ powder foundation
for dry skin – cream foundation/ liquid foundation
for normal skin – you can use any kind
Choosing the right kind of foundation for your skin type is very important because it itself is a main cause to stay on the face without fading off.

CONCEALER
==========
When covering unevenness of the face a good concealer is mandatory.
Always apply the cream & salmon coloured concealers after applying the foundation because then you can see which are the areas of the face needs eminent coverage.

TRANSLUCENT POWDER
====================
You can set the foundation or cream blush with some powder so that it’ll last longer.
(make sure you don’t cake the face :->)
Oily skin – Can use either a brush or a sponge to apply the powder.
Dry skin – Definitely use a kabuki or a powder brush to lightly sweep the powder.
Normal skin – Use a brush to apply the powder.

LIPSTICK
=======
When applying lipstick always remember to line & cover your full lips with a lip liner which has an even colour to the lipstick you use. It makes the lipstick stay on for longer hours
If you can’t find the exact match then;
For light lipstick colours – Use a nude liner
For dark lipstick colours – Something in the same colour family
You can also cover the lips with a bit of concealer before you apply anything. Then when you apply the lipstick or gloss it has something to stick on to which makes them stay longer on the lips without smearing.
You can also try the translucent powder trick.
After applying the lipstick take a facial tissue & place it on the lips.
Then apply some translucent powder onto the tissue with a puff which then will transfer on to your lips through the tissue & will set the lipstick.
Finally apply another coat of lipstick onto the lips.
This trick is amazing when it comes to keep lipstick on the lips for such a long time.

EYESHADOW
===========
Applying a eyeshadow primer will keep the eyeshadow without fading through out the whole day.
But if you don’t have one currently.
After applying the eye shadow to your lids repeat the same process once again.
It’ll double stain your lids & keep them all day long.
————————————–…
EYELINER
===========
Most of the pencil liners smudge way too easily.
But still you want to use them, then after lining seal it with some equally coloured eye shadow with an angled brush. It’ll stop it from smearing.
But using liquid, cream or gel eye liner is more suitable if you want it to last longer without smudging even a bit.

MASCARA
========
I don’t think anyone has complaints in this department. =)
But if you do then simply use the waterproof kind.
If you want to use a coloured mascara but can’t find the waterproof kind then colour your lashes with the colored mascara you prefer & top it up with a clear waterproof mascara.

BROWS
======
First comb the brows with some brow gel or clear mascara & see if it needs any filling.
If so, use a brow powder to line the brow.
They are long lasting than the brow pencil kind.

BLOTTING POWDER
================
You can buy a blotting powder or paper to use during the day/night to blot the access oil off the face which ultimately is the cause of fading away the make up.
Do not use hair spray to try to hold your makeup on, do the following instead.
1. Moisturize
Moisturizing is one of the most important steps you can do even before you think about putting on your makeup. When moisturizing, your skin will help absorb the makeup and also keep it in place. If you apply concealer without moisturizing, your skin will just flake, and you’ll end up with blochy, dry spots.
2. Primer
Second most important step in makeup durability is the primer. Choose a silicone-based primer which is amazing at helping to keep your makeup in place all night long. The silicone primers will give your skin a silky smooth finish and will also make sure your foundation stays put.
3. Prep the Eyes
Before putting on eyeshadow, make sure you cleanse your lids and then proceed with a thin layer of foundation. This will ensure that you don’t get those nasty creases.
4. Powder
After you’ve applied your foundation, finish off with a matte powder to put everything in place and so that your foundation doesn’t come off.
I’m a dancer and have always used a light sprits of hairspray on my face,(from far away), to keep my makeup on, and to keep it from sliding off or beig eaten by my pores while i am dancing. I do not do this on a dailey bases, I only do it for competitions, weddings,ect. But, it has never given me any type of acne or blemishes. Wash your face real well after so that you make sure to get all the hairspray and makeup off and you’ll be fine.:)
ps: If you do try this, shut your eyes and mouth tight, then after spraying..move away form the area where you sprayed to prevent breathing it in, or it getting into your eyes.
good luck!
