If however, you would really like it changed you should go back to the store which pierced you and have them change the jewellry for you so that they can put the new jewellry into an autoclave first. this will sterilize the new jewellry and reduce the risk of infection and scarring.

I waited about 3 months to change out from my ring, but you can just get it pierced with a barbell.
