Help with belly button piercing?

By Amy, September 2, 2010 3:59 pm

I got my belly button pierced about a year ago and had no problems with it up to about a month ago. I’ve cleaned it and taken care of it like my piercer had told me to, but it got infected anyways. I’ve been cleaning it more carefully now but the infecting doesn’t seem to be subsiding any. So, I was wondering if I could take it out, with it still being infected? Or would the just mess it up?

if your piercing is infected, and its not going away, go to a doctor and get antibiotics

don’t take the piercing out until the infection has cleared. if the hole closes with the infection still present, it can lead to an abscess

my belly piercing got infected afew days after it being pierced. . . it hurt so much and felt like some one was stabbing me with a knive. . . . i cleened it but it still didnt go away.
it left a scar but it just some how the infection went away.

    DONT TAKE IT OUT!!!
the infection will get trapped inside your skin which is worse.
go to the doctors and get some medication.

you should go to a doctor and get prescription antibiotics, but don’t take it out unless the doctor tells you to, I have had mine done a little over 3 years now and if i leave it out more than a day it starts to close up
