It takes at LEAST 4-6 months for navel piercings to heal. Most people don’t keep up their aftercare and change their jewelry too soon and end up with problems. The one good point made in the first couple of answer is that if you get pierced with a bar, you could change the ends or wtih a ring, you could change the color of the ball, without actually changing the jewelry inside the piercing. Personally, I like mine with the plain stainless steel bar most of the time, and I left it wtih the original jewelry for probably at least 9-12 months. Then again, I didn’t get it pierced to show off all the time and change every day to match my belly-baring shirt. I do have a couple of different “fun” pieces of jewelry, but really I might wear them a couple of weeks per year at this point. It’s not that hard to wait if you get pierced with something you like!
It takes about 6 weeks. Thats how long I waited for mine to heal. I changed the balls on it though a week or two after I got the peircing done.
bout 2 months but it all depends on the person, different people heal differently, make sure ya always clean it, i used hot salty water
