How long will my belly button piercing take to heal?
I’ve had my belly button pierced for about 7/8 months. If I decide that I no longer want it, and take it out, how long will the hole take to seal? And. . . will it leave a bad scar or anything? My friend had a horrible scar but it was because she got a really bad infection.

should heal within 2 months depending on how fresh your belly button wound is, make sure you don’t go swimming because it can get infected really easy. and I would put a band-aid on top so your clothes that may be sweaty don’t infect your wound either:)
It will take a while to heal, and you need to treat the wound the same way as a piercings, make sure to clean it every day-use bactene as it fights infections, and the oil in it can help with scarring. If there is a lot of scar tissue once it is healed, you can place a warm tea bag on the area for 10 minutes and then rub it hard with your fingers-this promotes the break up of scar tissue. Continue this until it seems pretty much flat again-puss/scar tissue will come out of the holes when you do this. You will have permanent scars where the holes were, I have tried everything to get rid of mine and can’t, but breaking up the scar tissue improves the appearance dramatically.
Once the jewelry’s out, you need to continue to clean it daily with unscented antibacterial soap and warm water. Don’t use any creams or gels on it. (No Neosporin! ) – Also, don’t use any harsh cleaners like alcohol or Bactine.
My belly piercing took around 2 months to completely heal and i got another one then, lol
there is a scar there but it depends how well you care for you piercings, if you cleaned them every day and had no infections, the scar will be less noticable.
After it heals completely, you can use scar creams if you feel it’s needed.
