Tell her french kissing will have to be put off for while it heals. =P

Tell her that you will pay for your dental bills out of your pocket money, so that when your teeth get chipped or the enamel wears off, it won’t cost her hundreds of dollars to fix them.

Sadly, there may not be a way to convince your mom one way or another if she believes every stupid thing some idiot online wrote.

What you could do is tell her about the positives about it, and maybe find a link saying how the things she read is a myth.

Explain the pros/cons about it. How to find a good piercer. What the importance of an autoclave (sterilization). Maybe how little chance it has of getting an infection (your mouth is constantly making new -good- bacteria that will help the piercing heal quickly), and other things like that.

    I’ll leave ya some links.

Ask her to come watch you in extreme pain so that you can be just like all the other individuals.

The comedy may just be Worth letting you do it.
