I have a question about inverse naval piercings. . . ?
I’ve had my top of my belly button pierced going on 5 years now and I’m thinking about getting my bottom pierced too. I’m concerned because I’ve read that if you don’t have the right type of belly button, it wont heal correctly, will eventually grow out of your skin in the process, and scar. I’m not sure what would happen though. What I read says if the bottom part of your belly button is more round, flat, has no flap like the top, a professional will more than likely not pierce it for you. I want to get this done soon because I recently turned 18. I’m really excited and I don’t want to go to a tat shop and be disappointed.

Do you think they’d pierce the bottom?
Comments would be great!
Thanks
Should be able to have it done
I would look into a surface barbell though, not just a bent barbell like used for the top of your navel, as they aren’t suitable for the piercing.
Because all navel piercings are surface piercings, they will all reject or migrate at some point. My top navel that i’ve had for 3 years has already started migrating. If you don’t take it out once the rejection starts, it will definitely leave a scar as your body pushes it out on its own.
Goodluck with the new piercing:)
