I dont wanna hear the crap about how I shouldnt do it my self , I have 5 piercings and did them all my self , I know how to take care of it , im just wondering if its okay to have a regular earring in it till i get a belly button ring tomorrow && if it will gauge when i get it .

   i’ve done all my piercings myself and at one point put a regular earring in for my navel and no its not a good idea

   No its probaly not i pierced my belly button on my own with a kit if you compare the size of an earing to the size of a belly button ring a regular 14 gauge ring is a lot thicker than an earring you may be able to pierce it with a big sewing needle and tape a cotton ball over the pokey part until you can get a ring but no an earring wont work and theres not much chance you can gauge it since there so different in size

   i’ve done a few of my piercings myself as well, so i know how it is. A regular earring is a bad idea for a navel piercing because of the nature of the hole. if you have friends that are eighteen, have them order some 14g needles for you so you can pierce with that and put the jewelry in right away. Needles are really really cheap, and it will make your piercing experience a lot better.

   no, earrings aren’t long enough.
   and its gonna hurt like a b**ch to gauge after you’ve just pierced it.
   by all means, go ahead and do it.
   just be prepared for it not fitting, hurting, and screwing up your belly button.
