Tattoo finally decided on. Placement options?
Alright well, I’m almost 18, and have finally decided on what I want as a tattoo. One of the passions of my life is music, and I’ve figured out that I want to immortalize that love and display it for the world to see in the form of a tattoo of two bass-clefs, facing each other, forming a heart.
I’m thinking of having it on the back of my neck or the left of my chest, just above my heart, but I have a feeling that’s a bit too cliched. It’s just my first tattoo, I really want to get sleeves one day and other tattoos, but this is where I want to start.
Either that or it could go on my upper arm, eventually being worked into the sleeves, but I’m worried that it wouldn’t be as visible.
And opinions on any of these locations, or any other ideas?
I don’t want to be told “ew don’t do it”, it’s my body, and it’s my decision to make. I have piercings, and I want tattoos, respect my opinion, and I’ll respect yours.
i like the idea of on the chest right above the heart
sounds pretty good to me
i think it would look cute on your chest like you said. i wouldnt put it on you neck tho, cause u couldnt see it unless u have short hair. it might look cute on your lower back or the top of your foot (i know sounds weird but ive seen people with them and they are cute).
chest above the heart is better than the arms in my opinion, dont do it on your back unless its gonna be a huge piece, i have some on my back and i only see them in pictures or mirrors, I did my last one on my ribs because i havent seen many people get them there. (see avatar photo) good luck hope you enjoy the experience and it turns out the way you want
definitely chest above the heart. . its a passion and it should be close to your heart. Cliche or not who cares? It means something to you and thats what the point of finalizing a tattoo is all about. ^_^
I would do in the middle of the arm. When you get sleeves you can still make them show.
That’s an awesome idea with the clefs.
my personal opinion is to put it on the back of your neck. It takes a talented tattoo artist to work random tattoos into a sleeve that flows together nicely. I also don’t think chest tattoos are very flattering. Pain wise, the back of the neck is very tolerable for a first tattoo.
I LOVE that idea!
The chest is a hard area to cover up for work, harder for some reason than arms.
I don’t know if you were planning on getting full sleeves but for some reason the first thing that comes to my mind is to get it on your inner arm, just below your elbow.
if your are thinking on getting sleeves done they should be bits and pieces of your life for example you said you want that tattoo done that’s the best place to start forearm and work your way around that tattoo
