don't use your bath towel to dry your tattoo. stinging could mean infection. you should be washing your hands 1st with antibacterial soap then your tattoo then let air dry or use paper towel. you should also be using bacitracin to ward off any infection for the 1st few days.

Sounds to me that it's just going through the healing stage.
Yes, it's normal for that to happen. Just keep doin what you're doin and everything should be ok. I should heal in a week or two. When the itching starts, don't scratch it or pick at it. That
means it's drying out and the dead skin wants to come off.
Keep it moist. . . . . . . . . . . . .

enjoy. . . . . . . .

start thinking about your next one. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ok first off an answer above said females are usually allergic to lavender. this is a huge mistake. lavender is great for wounds. tattoo goo is a great ointment. iv heard alot of good feedback. personally i use "skin fix tattoo ointment" which is an all natural tattoo ointment with alot of good ingredients. its normal for some ink to come off on your towel or sheets if you sleep on it. jus try to keep off it and it should be fine any more questions message me at www. myspace. com/darkside_tattoo

Its totally natural, you skin has just been filled with a load of ink so its bound to be a little sore! Try puting some Savlon cream on it, my boyfriend did when he had his tattoo and it healed right away. If it still doesn't heal go and see the doctor to make sure its not infected. x

yeah you're all right my friend got one and for a week or so it would run on his sheets when he slept. You have to remember you just had a needle go in your skin several times breaking the skin that's why it hurts even in doing the little things like taking a shower.

You basically have a wound on your back, and that's why it hurts. As for the color on your towel, it could be some of the scabbing coming off, which it will. Keep it moisturized and you should be just fine. If you think it may be getting infected, I would call the shop where you got your tat, and ask them for advise. Touch ups are usually free if they missed some place on your tat. I had to go back twice until mine was perfect, so it's pretty common.

Yes the black inked skin coming off is normal and it being on your lower back its going to be even more sore than anywhere else other than the front hip region. It's sore because your lower back gets stretched a lot when you move. It will heal in due time but usually 2-3 weeks. After about a week and a half it shouldnt be so sore. I suggest not using any tattoo ointment that has lavender oil in it being that most females are allergic to this and it could prolong the healing process. Anytime that you have to let it dry out by leaving it uncovered preferably indoors would help it to dry out and heal quicker. Try to purchase a lotion called Tattoo Fixx. It's one of the best ointments out there.
