Should I be ok to go swimming if i just got a tattoo 5 days ago?
i will put sunscreen, but what will happen if i do? it’s like 100 degrees here and i wanna go so bad,

they say you shouldnt just because its healing i didnt go in any water for at least a couple of weeks cus it could get infected. also the sun can make it fade so use some sunscreen on it.

And never use sunscreen on your tattoo. Only what the artist has suggested. like ointment and scent free lotions.
Yes you can. Tattoos aren’t afraid of the water. Just don’t rub it.
Do not go swimming until the Tatt is completely healed. . then when you go make sure you protect it with sunscreen. .
NO!!! take it from me, my boyfriend has 5 tatts and he didn’t listen to the tattoo artist about the swimming. his tatts faded and didn’t stay dark like he wanted it. he wishes he’d listen. he compares it to one of his tattoos when he didn’t go swimming and didn’t have his tatt exposed to the sun like directed and it is nice and dark just like the first day. wait until it fully heals before you go swimming and if its a dark tatt like black put sun screen on it at the minimum so your skin where the tatt is doesn’t feel like its burning or on fire. thats what my boyfriend always does. he says it hurts like hell when he forgets to do so.
Despite how much you want it, it’s a bad idea. Go if you insist, but know it’s not something you should do.
30 days should be the minimum for swimming, possibly less if mild soaking. If the sun is involved, take more, and know that you’ll be pushing your tattoo closer to the “blob” state people warn about.
Don’t go unless you want to wreck your tattoo. The sunscreen alone is bad for a healing tattoo. The sun and water will be torturous. If you can’t wait, you shouldn’t have gotten a tattoo.
NO. . you should wait at least 2 weeks to 1 month before swimming. . the ink may run. . or it may become infected. . . if the tattoo is on your arm you can get your legs wet in the water but getting a new tattoo wet is BAD
also only put suncreen on it after it is healed. . . so after about 2 months when you are in the sun you can the put sunscreen on it. . but it is too new to do it now. . use only a&d oinment and unscented lotion for the 1st 1 to 2 months
