I guess what I mean is, is a black suit an acceptable alternative to a navy, gray, or charcoal one?

I have dyed my hair permanent black many times and now i don’t want to wait for it to grow out and I’m terrified of bleaching it since my last hair dresser was careless and made my hair fall out while bleaching it but now I’m thinking of stripping it does that make your hair fall out? and any brand suggestions?
