I really want to stop looking so casual and even tomboyish. I want to look more girly and even for people to stop and go “doesn’t she look gorgeous today?” I’ve never really had that. Even when I try to dress up, I still don’t look it. I think it could also be because I don’t wear make up other then mascara.
I am (well I believe) good looking, so that part is fine. Just got to get a handle on these pimples again.
I have really dark brown hair and brown eyes, a light to olive compextion, an hourglass/pear shaped figure (dependant on if I’ve been working out or not), short legs and long torso, big butt (I’ve been told I’m a white girl with a black girl butt many times), medium boobs (12D sounds big, but doesn’t look it when have big ribs also) and when I’m working out, an athletic/muscular figure – getting back into exercising again fyi.
> I find that because I have a big bum, jeans do not fit me, they gape a lot at the back – high waisted ones are not comfortable, yet look good; low waisted ones fall down when I bend down; in between are most comfortable yet look the worst
> Due to my boobs, I can not wear shirts (even fitted) because I will always look pregnant. I have to get larger sizes to fit my bust yet my stomach is small in comparison
> I have big thighs (they don’t look it, but when trying on clothes, I do notice it) which I am working on getting a gap in between which make it really hard to wear tight jeans
> Due to my stomach being smaller, I can’t wear loose tops around my stomach because they make me look pregnant
> I love jewellery, especially long necklackes and dangly earrings
> For work, I have to dress up “professionally”, so no cleavage, short skirts/shorts, singlet/sleeveless tops, fashionable wear etc
What I am looking for, is ideas to dress up more feminly for life and for work.
Life I would usually wear jeans with a shirt and runners – the shirt is usually bought a size smaller, then I wear a singlet top on underneth so I can have the bust area open. Otherwise 3/4 pants with a singlet top and runners.
Work I would usually wear during summer is 3/4 slacks with heels and a shirt that’s too big for me and a long necklace. Autumn/Spring would be slacks with heels and a shirt and long necklace. During winter would be slacks, heels and a knited top with a long black top on underneath (looks better).
Going out partying, I would usually wear jeans with heels (black or silver) and a singlet top with a long necklace.
I don’t earn a lot of money, but I do have about $50 to $100 a week spare (which I should really be saving).
The colours that I know do look good on me are bold single colours, especially blues, greens, greys and blacks.
I feel like I don’t get treated like a girl. No matter what I wear, other then guys with the usual ‘sex on the mind’ comments when I try to dress sexy/gorgeous/cute, they still see me as one of the guys – even ones I’ve just met!!
I feel like the way I dress is highly influencing this, and I’m wanting to get more attention from guys, because being in my mid 20s and still forever single, is not good for the emotional state.
I see girls walking around and think they look stunning with such little effort and I want that. Nothing that shows a lot of clevage or leg, unless it’s necessary for the function/occasion.
Even wearing girly dresses, I still don’t feel like a girl. I still feel like a tomboy just wearing a dress.
Any tips on looking more feminine/cute/gorgeous/attractive without resorting to exposure?
